The band`s first steps might have been heavily influenced by genre icons such as Cathedral, Pentagram and Witchcraft, but the fourpiece has firmly established its very own brand of slow-motion goodness in 2016: folk and the NWOBHM play a big role in The Order Of Israfel cosmos, but these guys also have a knack for Thin Lizzy-isms. OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo

Tanith continue dishing out distant castles in the sunset and glimmering spaceships in the deep dark. What I really enjoy about Tanith is they really got the memo to take inspiration from the exploratory and sometimes downright unusual rhythms and melodies of 70s bands, not just to ape their clothes or exact song structures.
